From generating new sales to paying the bills, running a business can feel overwhelming at times. When it comes to needing a little extra support, we’ve got you covered. Here are a few organizations that provide free or low-cost business counseling.

City of Tacoma Economic Gardening Program
Offers free business coaching and customized services to start and grow your business in Tacoma.

SCORE Association–“Counselors to America’s Small Business”*
Located at the Tacoma Business Center at Bates Technical College, SCORE mentors and offers advice for business executives who volunteer their time to assist small businesses with strategic planning and business plan review. Over 90 percent of SCORE clients are start-ups. Each mentor has unique skills, so make sure that you find one who is the right fit for your business.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
Located at the Tacoma Business Center at Bates Technical College, the SBDC provides business training and advising. Focus is on established businesses, three years and older.

The Washington State Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)
Located at the Tacoma Business Center at Bates Technical College, the PTAC helps companies find and successfully achieve contracts for work with the government.
