Sidewalk Vending

The City of Tacoma allows vendors to sell food, beverages, and arts and crafts that are original creations on city streets. Vendors must be in a commercially zoned district within the Downtown Tacoma Business Improvement Area (BIA) and may not impede the right of way. In addition to the City of Tacoma’s requirements, vendors may be required to contact other regulatory agencies to ensure they are in compliance.

Process for Sidewalk Vending License

Information related to applying and obtaining a sidewalk vending license can be found at the City of Tacoma regulatory license page. Please allow ten days for your vending application to be reviewed.
